How much a hot tub costs in Texas.

Updated October 2026 · By the Lone Star Spas team in Texas

A couple in a hot tub on a Texas deck at dusk

A new hard-shell hot tub in Texas typically costs $5,000 to $15,000 for the tub itself, plus roughly $1,000 to $4,000 for a pad and a 240V circuit. Lone Star Spas sells factory direct from $6,995, with 82-inch five-seat lounger models at $9,495.

What you pay for the tub

Price follows size, jets and pumps. A two-person 120V tub is at the low end. A 92-inch tub with neck jets, a touchscreen and three pumps is at the high end.

SizeSeatsTypical showroom priceLone Star price
Compact, 6 to 7 ft2 to 4$9,000 to $10,500$6,995 to $7,495
Mid, 82 in5 to 6$12,500 to $14,500$9,495 to $10,995
Large, 92 in6 to 7$15,500 to $17,500$11,995 to $12,995
Family, 11 ft8 to 9$18,000 to $21,000$14,995

Showroom ranges are typical list prices for comparable American-made acrylic tubs at Texas dealers.

What the price tag leaves out

  • A level base: a 4 inch concrete pad usually runs $800 to $2,000 in Texas metros. Compacted base with pavers can cost less.
  • Power: a dedicated 240V 50A GFCI circuit usually costs $800 to $2,500 depending on the distance from your panel.
  • Delivery and placement: $1,295 from us, with a crane quoted only when the yard needs one.
  • Sales tax at your local Texas rate, up to 8.25%.

Why factory direct costs less

A showroom has to pay for the building, the floor stock, the staff and the boat-show booths. All of that is in the sticker. Selling factory direct removes those layers, so the same class of tub costs less without cutting what is in the shell.

Questions.

Is a cheaper hot tub worse?
Not necessarily. Compare the shell, insulation, pumps, jets and who services it locally. Price differences often come from how the tub is sold, not how it is built.
Are there tubs that skip the electrician?
Yes. 120V plug-in tubs like our Corpus and Belle run on a standard outlet. They heat more slowly and run fewer jets at once than 240V tubs.
